First Leap TV is a live broadcasting department of First Leap. First Leap is a teaching institution with a content language integrated learning curriculum. First Leap TV is an online platform that has been set up as a Children’s interactive TV program. First Leap TV have amazing resources provided for the presenters to use and experiment with creative styles of teaching through a TV program. The company originated in Beijing and now have grown over 41 cities in China, First Leap TV is based only in Beijing.
You will be responsible for designing and developing the First Leap TV scripts, whilst also delivering quality lesson programs to our First Leap students. We are looking for teachers who are positive, active, who have a passion for education, people who have a performance background, like to be on camera and can broadcast effectively. First Leap TV constantly gives teachers the opportunity to learn more through broadcasting and English teaching training. Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
Degree: BA or above in performance Arts, Drama, Theatre, Acting, Performance (practice based).
Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required (especially early childhood).
Experience: 3 years or above performance experience in film, TV programs, drama or any related area preferred.
Required in interview: Audition demo.
Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.
Student age range: 3 – 12 years old.
Class size: Unlimited, online.
Class length: 25 minutes per class.
You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher for each class.
Working Hours: 40 Hours Work Week (days off are discussed with employer); office hours and teaching hours *
Curriculum: Teach an interactive broadcasting TV program for young learners.
Training: First Leap Junior training and Broadcasting initial training/ On-going training throughout the year – provided by training department team of teachers (Foreign and Chinese).
Airfare to China: Flight is provided.
Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.
Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
On boarding: Ground service assistance.
Net Monthly income: USD 2900 – 5900 (RMB 20,000 – 40,000) *
Base Salary: USD 2600 – 3700 (RMB 18,000 – 25,000) *
Relocation bonus: One-time payment - paid on first payslip USD 1100 (RMB 8,000).
Housing: Monthly stipend USD 580 (RMB 4,000).
Bonus: Monthly bonus every month – calculated by teacher’s performance data *
Airfare Bonus: Provided once contract is fulfilled USD 1100 (RMB 8,000).
Over time: Amount stipulated in handbook by school.
Insurance: Basic Chinese health insurance.
Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off, Christmas and New Year’s Day off.
Annual Holiday: Stipulated by school in interview – this depends on the working hours *
Sick Leave: 5 paid days’ sick leave.
