Requirements to Teach English in China:

  • Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
  • Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
  • Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.
  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.


Responsibilities for Teachers in China:

  • Student age range: 3 – 12 years old (split into different levels).
  • Class size: 6 – 12 students in one class.
  • Class length: 45 minutes per class.
  • Working Hours: 40 hours; office hours and teaching hours.
  • Curriculum: The Kindergarten uses ‘Starfall my world English’ as their curriculum, it is provided by the school.
  • Chinese Teaching Assistant: You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher.
  • Training: Initial 7 – 10 day Junior training, monthly training online *

What We Offer our Teachers:

  • Flight: One way to China.
  • Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.

Your compensation will include:

Net Monthly income: USD 1900 &ndash; 2200 (RMB 13,000 &ndash; 16,000) before tax *

  • Base Salary: USD 1400 &ndash; 1900 (RMB 10,000 &ndash; 13,000) before tax *
  • Housing: Provided studio or 2-bedroom apartment *
  • Bonus: Monthly bonus for every class after 6 classes USD 140 (RMB 1,000) *
  • Bonus: Monthly bonus USD 73 &ndash; 290 (RMB 500 &ndash; 2,000) *
  • Airfare Bonus: Provided once contract is fulfilled USD 890 (RMB 6,000).
  • Demo class bonus: USD 7 (RMB 50) per student *
  • Over time: Paid at class rate stipulated by the school *
  • Insurance: Basic health insurance.
  • Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off.
  • Annual Holiday: 3 Paid annual leave *
  • Sick Leave: 5 paid days&rsquo; sick leave *
