ETU is a progressive private school that is dedicated to implementing innovative education practices such as Project-Based Learning (PBL), STEAM, and Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) and the Chinese national curriculum. This educational concept brings Chinese and Foreign teachers together for close collaboration and innovation in education. ETU has received strong support from the Chinese Ministry of Education for being a prototype of a future school in implementing project-based learning in lower elementary grades (K-4). We expect our Subject Teacher to possess:
Familiarity with teaching methods and theories of education.

Creativity and problem-solving skills.
Open to integrating technology into teaching and learning.
Experience with interdisciplinary curriculum development is preferred.
Vision of a learning community. Student-centered philosophy.
Curriculum design and development as well as conducting, organizing and implementing teaching activities including main subject and interdisciplinary curriculum.
Actively participate in research-based discussions on progressive pedagogical practices.
Be an advocate of pedagogical practices – occasionally deliver workshops for co-workers, parents, and members of the ETU network.
Be involved in class order maintenance and childcare during non-teaching time activities.
Record and present student learning and behaviour through our ETU App.
Positively guide students’ emotions and behaviours during school time and cooperate with the team on dealing with emergency situations.
Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
Degree: Bachelor degree or above in Arts education or other related majors.
Experience: At least 3 years teaching experience in Art subjects in a primary school preferred (or children's education institutions).
Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.
Student age range: 5-10 years old; Kindergarten to grade 5.
Class size: Up to 25 students per class.
Class length: Class times vary per semester and class. Each semester, teachers create their teaching schedules according to subjects taught and student needs.
Working Days & Hours: School hours are 7:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, but working hours vary according to teaching schedules.
On-board and ongoing training: ETU’s pedagogical practices are provided as part of our teacher-centred school model.
Flight: One way to China.
Visa: Sponsored legal Z Work Visa.
Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
On boarding: Ground service assistance.
Monthly Income Total: USD 3580 - 4060 (RMB 22500-25500) *
Base Salary: USD 2230 – 2700 (RMB 14000-17000) *
Housing: Monthly stipend USD 1115 (RMB 7000).
Insurance: Chinese medical Insurance.
Home visit Reimbursement: Up to twice per year and USD 2380/year (RMB 15000 per year).
Public Holiday: 19 Public holidays off annually.
Annual Holiday: summer and winter paid holidays.
Sick Leave: 5 days’ full pay sick leave per year.
Pay Day: 5th of each month.
