Ideal Candidate

As an EF Changchun teacher, you will: teach students under the assistance of a Chinese teaching assistant, create a lesson plan with the help of the teaching assistant, working 40hours per week. Teach subjects including: reading, speaking and listening.

Responsibilities  

  • Mainly include: 
  • Cultivation of the talent team
  • Delivering classes
  • Make curriculum for foreign teachers
  • Recruitment of new teachers 
  • Assign jobs to team members
  • KPI management 
  • CM cooperation 
  • Attend other activities actively hold by the institute 


Requirements to teach in China:

  • Speaks English at an Idiomatic level. 
  • Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
  • Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.
  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.


Position Details:

  • Student age range: 3 - 15 years old.
  • Class size: 12 - 16 students per class.
  • Class length:1 hour per class. 
  • Working Hours: 12 teaching hours per week, from Monday to Friday 17:00 to 19:15. Saturday to Sunday 9:00am-18:00.
  • Curriculum: EF curriculum is provided, it will be explained in detail in the interview.
  • Chinese Teaching Assistant: You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher. 
  • Training: paid training mainly about teaching materials, teaching content, class teaching methods, education system using and so on. 


What We Offer our Teachers:

  • Visa: Sponsored legal Z Work Visa.
  • Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
  • On boarding: Ground service assistance.


Your compensation will include:

Monthly income: 3,100 - 3700 USD (20000 RMB - 24000 RMB) After tax.

  • Base Salary: 2600 USD (17000 RMB) After tax.
  • Housing: Provided or housing allowance 391 USD (2500 RMB) per month.
  • Bonus: contract completion bonus 3700 USD (24000 RMB).


Additional Payments:

  • Over time: 15 USD (100 RMB) per hour
  • Insurance: Basic health insurance.
  • Public Holiday: Paid 12 public days.
  • Annual Holiday: Paid 10 annual days. 
  • Sick Leave: Paid sick leave 3 days per year.
