Company Description

BWYA (Beijing World Youth Academy) is a Beijing international school for students of all nationalities aged 5 to 18, offering programmes taught in English with extensive language support where required. We are an IB World School since opening our doors in 2001, we are fully authorized to offer both the IB Diploma (DP) and IB Middle Years (MYP) Programmes. We also operate the innovative IN Programme for students who require additional language support, and in 2016 we incorporated the IGCSE. Our younger learners follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).


Ideal Candidate

We expect our teachers have international school teaching experience. We expect our teachers to be energetic, enthusiastic and animated in the classroom and have professionalism in oral and written communications.


Responsibilities  

  • You are expected to be a good educator, be on time, be professional, and teach good classes.
  • Keeping your students engaged with fun and exciting lessons.
  • Assessing your student’s English abilities.
  • Attend school activities.


Requirements to work in China:

  • Native English speaker.
  • Degree: BA or above in Education.
  • Experience: At least 2 years teaching experience in International school.
  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.


Position Details:

  • Student age range: 9 - 12 years old.
  • Class size: 10 to 25 per class.
  • Class length: 60 minutes per class.
  • Working Hours: 21 teaching hours per week, from Monday to Friday 8 am to 4pm.
  • Curriculum: School self-developed curriculum.


Your compensation will include:

  • Monthly income: USD 3500 – 7000 (23,000-46,000 RMB) before tax.
  • Basic salary: USD 3200 (21,000 RMB) after tax.


Additional Payments: 

  • Flight: One way to China.  
  • Visa: Sponsored legal Z Work Visa. 
  • Travel Allowance: USD 3800 (25,000 RMB) for two years’ contract, starting from the second year, the reimbursement is paid in August each year.
  • Insurance: International medical insurance.
  • Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays and 25th December paid off. 
  • Annual Holiday: Summer holiday & Winter holiday paid off.
  • Pay Day: last day of the month.


Other benefits include:

  • Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance. 
  • On boarding: Ground service assistance.
