School Description

Chongqing Jiangbei Beautiful Grassland Montessori School offers two programs, IC for 0-3 and Casa for 3-6, through the use of historic and authentic Montessori educational methods. It is located in Cantabile of Poly Complex, Jiangbei District, Chongqing. It covers an area of 8,600㎡ (4,200 ㎡outdoor and 4,400㎡ indoor). BGL provides the child with an education that meets the same standards as schools in western countries. BGL is devoted to preparing children for life, while preserving their childhood.


Details of Position:

  • Responsible for assisting the lead teacher in effectively implementing Montessori education philosophy in the class
  • Responsible for assisting the lead teacher in organizing orderly class work, teaching innovation, and creative materials making
  • Responsible for teaching English in the class


Requirements to Teach English in Chongqing China:

  • Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
  • Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
  • Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.
  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.


Responsibilities for Teachers in Chongqing China:

  • Student age range: 0-3 or 3-6 years old.
  • Class size: 10 – 30 students in one class.
  • Working Hours: around 42 Hours (You will have 5 standard working days and 2 consecutive days off - Saturdays and Sundays); office hours, training and teaching hours.
  • Training: provided by the director of foreign teachers

  • Airfare to China: One way flight to China is provided.
  • Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.
  • TEFL: Free TEFL program provided before arrival.
  • Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
  • On boarding: Ground service assistance.


Your compensation will include:

Monthly income: USD 1,846 -2,557 (RMB 13,000 - 18,200) before tax

  • Base Salary: USD 1,705 -2,415 (RMB 12,000 - 17,000) before tax
  • Housing: Two bedrooms apartment sharing with another teacher or Monthly stipend USD 142 (RMB 1,000)
  • Teaching PKI: USD0 -171 (RMB 0-1200), according to the attendance and teaching performance.
  • Airfare Bonus: USD 1,136 (RMB 8,000) can be reimbursed when fulfilled contract
  • Over time: Amount stipulated in rules by school
  • Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off and New Year's Day off.
  • Sick Leave: 5 days with half paid
  • Winter and summer holiday: Fully paid normally 3 weeks for each (based on the school calendar).
  • Insurance: accident insurance

  • About two months’ summer vacation and winter vacation per year
