School Description

Peking University Affiliated Primary School is a new cooperated school located in the northwest part of Beijing, Close to eco-park with all brand-new facilities.     

Details of Position

As a Peking University Drama teacher, your responsibilities will include: preparing and teaching Drama classes for students, helping to create and modify a Drama curriculum.

We expect our Drama teachers to be full of life, imaginative, expressive and to enjoy bringing out the fun dramatic side of our students.   


Requirements to Teach Drama in China:

  • Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.

  • Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics, English, Drama degree given top priority).

  • Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.

  • Drama teaching and script writing experience is required. Children education background preferred.  

  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.


Responsibilities for Drama Teachers in China:

  • Student age range: 9 – 12 years old.

  • Class size: 20 – 30 students in one class.

  • Class length: 50 minutes per class.

  • Working Hours: 40 hours (Monday – Friday); 18 office hours and 22 teaching hours.

  • Curriculum: Drama teacher with assigned classes, school activities, researching seminars.

  • Training: 1 day Orientation.


What We Offer our Drama Teachers:

  • Flight: One way to China.

  • Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.

  • Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.

  • On boarding: Ground service assistance.


Your compensation will include:

Net Monthly income: USD 3300 (RMB 23,000) before tax *

  • Base Salary: USD 3200 per month (RMB 22,000) before tax *

  • Housing: Serviced apartment with WIFI.

  • Bonus: Per semester USD 440 (RMB 3,000).

  • Airfare Bonus: Provided once contract is fulfilled USD 890 (RMB 6,000).

  • Over time: Amount stipulated in contract by school *

  • Insurance: Basic health insurance.

  • Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off.

  • Annual Holiday: Summer and Winter vacation.

  • Sick Leave: 3 paid days’ sick leave.

Interview instructions:

  1. A 5-10 minutes drama teaching demo is required.

  2. Please write a short English stage drama script for 10-11years old students.

  3. Introduce your sessions of each drama class and your teaching philosophy among them.
