Details of Position

As a TiKe English teacher your responsibilities will be; to teach students under the assistance from Chinese teaching assistant, plan lesson/teaching plan with the help of the teaching assistant, work from Wednesday to Friday 11:00am-7:00pm & weekends: 9:00am-6:00pm. Teaching subjects include: reading and speaking and activities;


We expect teachers to be fun and creative. We want to give our teachers an enjoyable experience living abroad and our students a great learning experience.


Requirements to Teach English in China:

  • Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.

  • Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).

  • Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.

  • Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.

Responsibilities for English Teachers in China:

  • Student age range: 2.5 - 6 years old (kids group) / 12 – 15 years old (Teenager group).

  • Class size: 6 – 8 students in one class.

  • Class length: 45 minutes per class.

  • Working Hours: 40 hours (Wednesday – Sunday); office hours and teaching hours.

  • Curriculum: Provided with teaching modules and materials.

  • Chinese Teaching Assistant: You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher.

What We Offer our English Teachers:

  • Flight: One way to China.

  • Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.

  • Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.

  • On boarding: Ground service assistance.

Your compensation will include:

Net Monthly income: USD 2300 – 2600 (RMB 16,000 – 18,000) after tax *

  • Base Salary: USD 1300 – 1400 (RMB 9,000 – 10,000) after tax *

  • Housing: Provided studio or 2-bedroom apartment OR monthly stipend USD 580 (RMB 4,000) *

  • Bonus: Monthly USD 290 - 430 (RMB 2,000 – 3,000) *

  • Airfare Bonus: Flight to China USD 730 (RMB 5,000).

  • Airfare Bonus: Completion of contract airfare USD 1000 (RMB 7,000).

  • Over time: USD 29 (RMB 200) per hour.

  • Insurance: Basic health insurance.

  • Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off.

  • Sick Leave: 5 paid days’ sick leave.
