We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic ESL teachers in China. As an ESL teacher, your main focus will be teaching and practicing English with young learners. Chinese young learners are enthusiastic but well-behaved looking to have fun and learn English. You will need to be as equally energetic, use fun games, songs, dances or free flowing conversations to get students engaged with the aim of developing students’ interest in language learning, remembering the key vocabulary, understanding the text, and building up our students’ abilities to use English in real life.
We expect our teachers to have excellent communication skills, be outgoing, reliable, responsible, warm-hearted with drive and patience. You must love children and teaching.
Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience required.
Relocate: Must be willing to relocate to China.
Student age range: 8-15 years old.
Class size: Unlimited – Online classes.
Class length: 40minutes to 1hour.
Working Days & Hours: 32 – 40 hour’s office hours and teaching hours (days off stipulated in interview).
Curriculum: PeiYou On-Air uses Concept English textbooks, teaching materials are provided for the curriculum. Training on the curriculum is provided during initial training.
Chinese Teaching Assistant: You will be assisted with a bilingual Chinese teacher for each class.
Training: Schools provide an initial training when a teacher joins the school and on-going training for their teachers throughout the year.
Work responsibilities: Teaching classes based around vocabulary and text, creating English learning videos and taking part in researching activities.
Airfare to China: Flight is provided.
Visa: Assistance in sponsored legal Z Work Visa in your home country and in China.
Arrival: Airport Pickup assistance.
On boarding: Ground service assistance.
Net Total Monthly income: USD 1900 – 3300 (RMB 13,000 – 22,000)
Base Salary: USD 1800 – 3000 (RMB 12,000 – 20,000)
Bonus: Student monthly re-sign bonus, provided depending on school and how many students the teacher re-signs *
Demo class: stipulated in interview *
Airfare Bonus: Provided once contract is fulfilled USD 890 - 1100 (RMB 6,000 – 8,000)
Insurance: Health insurance.
Public Holiday: Chinese public holidays off.
Annual Holiday: Paid annual leave varies from school to school, will be stipulated in interview *
